Burwell Bash Bursaries!

posted in: Events, Workshops | 2

The organisers of the 2017 Burwell Bash have kindly offered Cambridge Comhaltas two under-18 bursary placements for their folk tuition week next year.

It is a fantastic opportunity because the tutors are all top class professionals, and the teaching environment is very relaxed and friendly.

Who will the recipients be?

    Dear Cambridge Comhaltas,
I run a singing group for people with chronic lung health problems, such as COPD. We are planning an Irish themed session on Thursday 16th March, 2.30 – 4.00 pm. It will be a bit of a party, with refreshments. Members will invite guests and we’ll have a sing along of Irish songs, and some Irish poetry too. I play guitar, but I would love to include some traditional Irish instruments. I wondered if any of your members would be interested in coming along to play and join in the fun? Maybe you could pass this message on. People can contact me by email, singingforbreathingcambridge@gmail.com or mobile 07845 726975. You can see more about our group at http://www.talkingintune.org.uk and about the benefits of singing for lung health on the British Lung Foundation website, http://www.blf.org. I do hope you can help!

      Hi Kay,

Apologies for not replying to this back in March. We had just set this wordpress site up and were not actively managing the responses to questions.

Please let us know if you’re doing similar events in the future.
